My son Hogan and I are running the length of Maine, from Fort Kent to Kittery, May 22 to May 31. We doing this as a fundraiser for Camp CaPella with hopes to generate sponsorships for kids to attend this summer camp.
"Camp CaPella provides services to children (aged 5 and older) and adults with a primary diagnosis of physical and develpmental disabilities. Children and adults who attend Camp CaPella may be diagnosed with such disabilities as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Downs Syndrome, Autism, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and other conditions that cause physical and developmental disabilities. The summer camp program has a 1 / 2 ratio of staff to campers and each camper has a recreational and educational plan developed to serve their individual needs." http://campcapella.org/new-27.htm
We've made a google map with a scenic route that will make this Trek of Maine 500 miles on foot. Lots of details need to be worked out. I'll post updates as the event draws near.
